I can’t help but wonder if it’s time for one of these:
That’s right. It’s time for an Escalade V-Sport. Employing the same LT4 as in the new CTS-V, retuned for 600hp and 650tq. Get the truck outta the way!

Loving the mesh grille on this! LT4 would be awesome as well.

It would sell...
Poorly.

Right? Theyve already MRC standard as well. It’s all there.

I see Supercharged RR Sports all over the area. I don’t see why this wouldn’t do.

God it looks some much better not all “chromed” out.

That’s because the RR Sport has a name for itself, while Cadillac in general is still considered a soft, quiet luxury car. An Escalade-V will suffer the same fate as the Mazdaspeed 5: brilliant concept, but not a brilliant market.

Completely agree

Actually the Escalade is not purchased by traditional Cadillac customers. It’s bought by people who want the biggest, baddest truck on the road. Hence the reason it’s keeping its name, because it doesn’t follow the rest of the lineup.

Ummmm where’s this Mazdaspeed 5 of which you speak? Let me in on the secret and please tell me I missed out on something amazing.

Both draw heavily from customers looking to flaunt wealth. They’ve really got essentially the same demographic.

It would still sell, though. They could do it the same way they did the SVR Range Rovers - one per dealer. Every SVR sold out, by the way.
Then they get a gauge of interest in the product, plus it doubles as a halo vehicle.
